Hello beautiful ✨
“Author’s Apiary” est un projet créé par Mauro à Orta San Giulio, une magnifique région du nord de l’Italie, et je suis très heureuse et reconnaissante d’avoir pu créer une oeuvre pour cette cause.
L’objectif de “Author’s Apiary” est d’utiliser l’art pour sensibiliser le public aux abeilles et au rôle magnifique qu’elles jouent dans notre monde. Les abeilles sont des indicateurs importants de la qualité de l’environnement. Il est vital de comprendre le rôle essentiel que jouent les abeilles dans la continuité des ressources alimentaires de la planète, à travers la pollinisation et la production de miel.
Pour la deuxième édition du projet de ruche, quinze artistes du monde entier ont été invités à créer et à dessiner autour du thème “Il Fiore” (une fleur). Ces 15 créations sont ensuite imprimées sur la partie frontale d’une ruche différente.
Le dimanche 19 avril 2020, les ruches seront inaugurées en ligne via Facebook et Instagram dans le parc privé de l’Hôtel Bocciolo à Orta San Giulio. L’art continuera d’évoluer au fur et à mesure que les abeilles laisseront leurs empreintes et leurs traces sur les ruches.
Pour créer le design de la ruche, j’ai soigneusement recherché et sélectionné les plantes préférées des abeilles et je m’en suis inspirée pour ce projet. J’ai ensuite créé une illustration numérique dans un style féminin et coloré pour rendre hommage aux abeilles et à la manière dont elles contribuent gracieusement à notre planète.
Ce travail est aussi un jeu de mots :You’re BeeYoutiful Honey (tu es beau/belle chéri.e). Il vise à rappeler à chacun d’entre nous avec affection, à quel point nous sommes beaux.
J’ai beaucoup apprécié participer à ce projet. Je crois qu’il est important d’être reconnaissant chaque jour pour toutes les petites choses qui nous entourent et qui nous permettent de vivre notre vie, et les abeilles en font partie. Nous pouvons être très reconnaissants pour leur travail acharné, pour toute la beauté qu’elles apportent dans nos vies et pour tous les délices qu’elles nous procurent grâce au miel. J’ai hâte de retourner dans cet incroyable havre de paix qu’est Orta San Giulio, de voir toutes les différentes œuvres d’art sur les ruches dans le parc privé de l’hôtel Bocciolo et de profiter de ses vues époustouflantes et de son ambiance de maison loin de chez soi. Je suis curieuse de voir comment l’art évoluera vers une co-création avec le travail des abeilles et la touche du temps de la nature.

“Author’s Apiary” is a project created by Mauro in Orta San Giulio, a magnificent region in the north of Italy and I am so glad and grateful to be able to create art for this cause in 2020.
“Author’s Apiary” goal is to use art to raise awareness around bees and the beautiful role they play in our world. Bees are important indicators of the quality of the environment. It’s vital to understand the essential role bees play for the continuity of the planet’s food resources, through pollination and honey production.
In the second edition of the beehive project, fifteen artists from around the world were invited to create and design around this theme “Il Fiore” (a flower). These 15 creations are then printed onto the front part of a different beehive.
This Sunday the 19th of April 2020 the hives will be inaugurated online through Facebook and Instagram in the private park of the Hotel Bocciolo in Orta San Giulio. The art will continue to evolve as the bees will leave their prints and traces on the hives.
To create the design for the beehives, I carefully researched and selected what are the bee’s favorite plants and used them as inspiration for this project. I then created a digital illustration with a colorful fine feminine style to honor the bees and the way they gracefully contribute to our planet.
This work is also a play on words: You’re BeeYoutiful Honey (you’re beautiful honey). It aims to remind each of us in a kind and loving way how beautiful we are, daily.
I thoroughly enjoyed participating in this project. I believe it is important to be grateful daily for all the little things around us that make it possible for us to our lives and bees are part of that. We can be so thankful for all their hard work and for all the beauty that they bring into our lives and all the yumminess they bring through honey.
I look forward to going back to the amazing quiet haven that is Orta San Giulio, to see all the different works of art on beehives in the Hotel Bocciolo private park and enjoy its stunning views and home away from home vibe. I am curious to see how the art will evolve into a co-creation with the work of the bees and the touch of nature’s weather.
