In her past life Mémé Aurait Aimé used to dance ballet for 10 years, she used to play soccer and she wasn’t a very gifted student. Her professional life started a decade ago in the food and beverage industry as a barmaid and then bar manager. But how is any of this relevant today?

What is important is what she learned during those years, not which path she took to learn them.
Ballet taught Mémé Aurait Aimé grace and elegance to move within her own body and in relationships.
Soccer taught her she was capable to do anything she set her mind to and that no one and no belief system was going to deny her the access to play a sport.
Working in bars made Mémé Aurait Aimé realize how much she missed learning and how good she was at it when she could choose the subjects she wanted to study.
The night life also taught Mémé Aurait Aimé about how to manage a business, how to listen to people and advise them, she learned how to recognize trouble from a mile away, she understood why people drink, she summed up the courage to never show fear during fights and learned how to brush off sleazy comments. These lessons showed Mémé Aurait Aimé the life she did not want to live. Not that there is anything wrong with it, it just doesn’t work for her highly sensitive personality.

Shortly after quitting her bar management job, Mémé Aurait Aimé opened her art studio in an amazing center dedicated to artists called Les Ateliers de la Côte in Etoy, Switzerland. That was when Mémé Aurait Aimé blossomed.
The space she created was filled with femininity, softness, kindness, plants, crystals, books, healthy relationships, good coffee and light. Her art studio was her therapy, it allowed her to get out of a severe depression, find her rhythm, meditate, do yoga, release old patterns, get two amazing dogs that bring her on daily adventures outside by the lake and in the forest. Mémé Aurait Aimé was finally breathing.

Today Mémé Aurait Aimé is a digital illustrator who loves to illustrate nature, animals, food, beverages, spirituality and holistic healing. She is a vegetarian and it is very important to her to fully acknowledge and respect the power and beauty of nature and its animals. Mémé Aurait Aimé is a feminist, she firmly believes in equity between gender, class and race. She also strongly believes in sisterhood because women supporting each other empower each other.
And finally, kindness and empathy are the key ingredients she uses to make decisions and to share her sensitivity. Mémé Aurait Aimé is a highly sensitive person, she believes that being openly vulnerable and sensitive is a superpower!  Her superpower allows her to have deep and meaningful relationships and to capture the essence of your message to translate it into an illustration.
