The Sketchbook Project est un projet qui a duré 17 ans et qui est devenu un collection de plus de 50’000 carnet de croquis avec plus de 30’000 artistes.
Séduite par l’idée de faire partie d’une énorme bibliothèque participative, j’ai décidé d’y apporter ma touche pour le Sketchbook Project Volume 18.
À l’heure ou je vous écris cet article, j’apprends tristement qu’en mai 2023 suite à un feu catastrophique, presque la moitié des carnets de croquis on été détruit.
Par chance, j’avais pris en photo toutes les pages de ce carnet, que j’ai le plaisir de partager avec vous ici.
Les 35’000 carnets qui ont survécu à l’incendie sont actuellement dispatché dans 4 différentes insititutions entre les États-Unis et le Canada.

The Sketchbook Project was a 17-year project that has grown into a collection of over 50,000 sketchbooks featuring more than 30,000 artists.
Allured by the idea of being part of a huge participatory library, I decided to add my own zest to Sketchbook Project Volume 18.
As I write this article, I sadly learnt that in May 2023, following a catastrophic fire, almost half of the sketchbooks were destroyed.
Luckily, I have taken photos of all the pages, which I’m happy to share with you here.
The 35,000 sketchbooks that survived the fire are currently spread across 4 different institutions in the States and Canada.
